UNDP Accelerator
Our MD an CEO, Nahid Akhter, participated in the UNDP Accelerator Lab’s discussion session on “Up-Skilling Youth: Emerging Technology for Future Workforce”. The session was arranged to brainstorm ideas to tackle issues of youth employment and gender equity, through digital up-skilling. Key stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, senior management, and leaders in the Bangladeshi Tech industry attended the event.

Our MD an CEO, Nahid Akhter, was a speaker at the ULAB Career Session on Freelancing, organized by the ULAB Career Services Office. I addressed the students of the University on the prospects of pursuing a freelancing career, and making their way into entrepreneurship.

her Successful Freelance Journey
Nahid Akhter is one of the few top-rated freelancers on Upwork with a 100 per cent Job Success Score from Bangladesh. Brought up at Dubai, she finished her bachelor’s in Computer Science from Al Ghurair University and worked as a teacher. Later, when she moved to Dhaka, she started working as a freelancer when the vocation was not still popular in Bangladesh.
Meghna Bank, BFDS launch services for freelancers
Meghna Bank recently partnered with Bangladesh Freelancer Development Society (BFDS) to launch its new product “Freelancer Account Service Pack”. To this end, both the organizations signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the bank’s head office in Gulshan Dhaka, said a press release.

সফল ফ্রিল্যান্সারদের উদ্যোক্তা হিসেবে গড়ে তুলতে প্রশিক্ষণ দিয়েছে বাংলাদেশ অ্যাসোসিয়েশন অব কন্ট্যাক্ট সেন্টার অ্যান্ড আউটসোর্সিং (বাক্কো)। বিজনেস প্রমোশন কাউন্সিলের (বিপিসি) সহযোগিতায় আয়োজিত ‘ফ্রিল্যান্সার থেকে উদ্যোক্তা: তোমার লক্ষ্য অর্জন কর’ শীর্ষক এ প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মশালায় মোট ৯০ ফ্রিল্যান্সার অংশ নেন। গতকাল শনিবার এক অনুষ্ঠানে প্রশিক্ষণে অংশ নেওয়া ফ্রিল্যান্সারদের সনদ তুলে দেন বিজনেস প্রমোশন কাউন্সিলের সমন্বয়কারী মো. আবদুর রহিম খান ও বাক্কো সভাপতি ওয়াহিদ শরীফ। এক সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে এসব তথ্য জানিয়েছে বাক্কো।
